While visiting the distillery, I was walking around, taking in the sites and aromas, and I got chatting to someone working. They were kind enough to give me a moment of their time, and as we spoke about Fettercairn as a brand, we got onto what it is to drink and experience whisky. This fine gentleman drop a line that unlocked the entire content of what this video could be. He simply said, 'when you're drinking an aged whisky, you're tasting the summer 50 years ago.' It formed an amazing image in my mind of imagining a summer decades earlier, what the air might have been like, how much sun there may have been, it became like a waking dream.
